Ilja. Once during the planning of another scene for his short film series, he wrote me;
“hey ed,
es geht einfach darum ein wahres portrait von einer person zu erstellen, das die person besser wiedergibt als eine Photographie. Ich wollte es gern in deiner Wohnung filmen, in “deiner” Umgebung. Ich hatte es mir so gedacht, dass ich dich bei irgendeiner Handlung ( Lesen, deine Kamera sauber machen oder etwas was mindestens 2 Minuten dauern könnte ) aus verschiedenen Perspektiven abfilme ohne die Handlung an sich zu zeigen, sondern komplett auf deinem Gesicht fokusiert sein. Ob du dabei sprichst oder nicht kann man vor Ort und im Hinblick auf die Handlung entscheiden, jedoch bevorzuge ich die rein visuelle Aufnahme.”
